Pricing- Rush Service
Selecting "Rush Service" moves your job to the top of the list, behind the other pending Rush jobs. We endeavor to finish small Rush jobs in about 2 hours, but that isn't always possible, nor is it guaranteed. The actual turn-around-time will vary depending on the size of your job and the number of other Rush jobs that are pending.

Free Test
Call 1-866-995-3000 (from outside the United States 1-847-983-3001) and select option 4. When prompted, enter your 10 digit phone #, and dictate at the tone. You will have about 2 minutes to dictate. In 12-24 hours, visit http://www.idictate.com/test for instructions on retrieving your transcribed document.

Sign Up
Visit our secure Sign Up page and fill in your personal and billing information. You will select your own 10 digit account # and PIN. You may use your phone number as your account #. You will be notified by email when your account is approved. You may create up to 10 accounts at one time.

Submit Files From Your Computer to be Typed ("Upload Files")
You may upload as many as 20 files at one time. Any type of voice file may be submitted for transcription (i.e. wav, DSS, MP3, and so on). In addition, you may submit PDF, Tif or other image files to be typed. To upload files, you must log in to your account, and then click on "Upload Files".

Submitting Files That Won't Upload Because They are too Large
Option 1- Split your voice file up using software available on the web, and submit your file in pieces.
Option 2 (for files up to 2 GB)- Upload using "yousendit". Make sure you tell us your name, account #, phone #, and whether you want rush or regular service. Click to Upload Super-Large Files.

Dictating By Phone
Call 1-866-995-3000 (from outside the United States 1-847-983-3001) and select option 1. When prompted, enter your 10 digit account #. You will be asked if you prefer rush or regular service. Rush service costs a little more but your transcription will be done within about two (2) hours. (Regular dictation is completed in 12-24 hours). You will begin dictating at the tone and press any key when finished. You will then be asked if you wish to resume or begin a new job. You may continue dictating without having to call back.

If you are accustomed to using the pause/ resume prompts, we have made this easier. These prompts are gone, but you can still instruct the typist to do what you want by dictating your instructions. If you need to pause while you gather your thoughts, the system will give you one (1) minute of silence before you are disconnected. Any sound will start the one-minute over again. If you absolutely need to pause and rewind, please order one of our Olympus digital voice recorders. Alternatively, if you own a newer model Blackberry, you can set up an iDictate-Blackberry account and utilize the built-in pause and resume feature.

Submitting Handwritten Notes to be Transcribed
Fax your notes to 1-800-397-4495. Make sure your cover page contains your name, account #, phone #, and indicate whether you want rush or regular service.

Upload Templates and Forms
You may upload templates, forms, and lists of hard-to-spell names or words and we will save them to assist our typists in transcribing your documents.

Retrieving Your Finished Jobs
When your transcription is finished, it will be sent to you by email. In addition, you may retrieve it from our website. You may also retrieve a copy of your voice file. In order to view your finished jobs, you will need your account # and PIN.

Security
Every available precaution has been provided to assure the security and confidentiality of dictated information and other materials submitted to us. We think you will find the system provides nearly infallible protection for your work, and in almost every case, the security and confidentiality should be dramatically better than the safeguards you currently use.

To begin with, your information cannot be retrieved by anyone other than you, iDictate and the telephone company. All work is transmitted through your personal telephone or computer directly into the iDictate server, which is inaccessible to all outside sources. From there, your dictation is retrieved directly from our computer by a randomly assigned typist, again with outside access impossible. The typist prepares your draft on word-processing equipment and software that is separate from any public network. Sometimes it is necessary to transmit your document to a random iDictate proofreader via private e-mail. And finally, the finished job is sent directly back to you via e-mail and can only be accessed by you or someone in your office with your personal password.

Privacy
The purpose of our Privacy Policy is to disclose our use of and protection of "personally identifiable information," which is information that can be associated with a specific individual or which can be used to identify a specific individual (more).

Billing
Your typing charges are billed to your credit card two to four times per month. The cost of each of your dictation jobs is detailed when you log in to your account. After you log in, click on "Billing Detail" at the top (right). You can select whatever date range you want to see.
